Busy day at the Huffman fish farm!

Mr. Bill enjoying his "New Cat TV!"

Our Fingerlings in the tank
This is the smallest of the 3
Talapia that we got today!

Well, nothing like jumping into something with both feet! We were able to locate someone who had large full grown Talapia who wanted to re-home them! We picked up three of them...The largest one probably weighed over eight pounds! HOLY COW! these bad boys have enough meat on them for a whole family to enjoy!
I've named them...( Strange I know! LOL!) Baked~ Fried and Fish taco! LOL! We decided to get them and see how they would do in our pond with the Koi. They seem to adjust quite well so far, just hope they are still alive in the morning! They like warm water and dont do well when the temps drop to 50 degrees. They are typically native to more tropical climates, But here in southern California the weather is pretty even all year long.
Then we were able to buy some fingerlings ranging in size from a few inches to about four inches for our tank.

We also took a trip to the Hydroponics/Aquaponics store here locally, Like I had mentioned before if you have never checked this out you might want to! It's the most amazing way to provide fresh food for you and your family!!! I'll post more with links tomorrow!

Well, My cat "Mr. Bill" Is LOVING his new "cat tv!" He spends most of his day watching the fish! Oh, I forgot to mention that we had first added Comet goldfish to the tank to make sure things were all good before adding the Talapia....

Well, I'm one tired girl...Will get back on and post more!
Blessed night to all!
Sherry
